Arwel Lewis

Arwel Lewis is the Founder of Peak Professional Coaching. He trained and qualified into the corporate team at Linklaters in London, before his career took him to US and International firms in London and Asia. Arwel became a partner at leading offshore firm Walkers in Hong Kong and led their Corporate and Funds teams in Asia through a period of rapid and profitable growth. He was recognised as a leading practitioner in the Funds and Private Equity space and his career as a transactional lawyer was centred on developing strong client relationships. He excelled in nurturing and developing colleagues and building and managing teams in international environments. He played a key role in relaunching Walkers’ corporate services business in Asia, which provided invaluable experience on designing and executing a successful business plan.

Arwel’s desire to learn about his clients and their desired outcomes led to him building a successful legal career. This natural curiosity about people, processes and goals, led to Arwel undertaking the Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching (PCEC) at Henley Business School, adding the academic theory to the practical coaching and mentoring roles previously adopted in his legal career. He is a member of the International Coaching Federation and subscribes to their Ethical Code.

Arwel’s coaching style is grounded in empathy and with a focus on the person. By actively listening and creating a safe, judgement-free environment, he ensures his individual clients feel heard, understood and valued. His style is practical and collaborative, partnering effectively to create actionable strategies that align with people’s goals and aspirations. He helps individuals obtain clarity and deeper self-awareness on their values, thoughts, behaviours, emotions and beliefs, whilst illuminating the potential and possibilities of new perspectives and opportunities. Arwel is not afraid to respectfully challenge and question and to hold his coachees to account – provided this is part of the original brief!
